Children are not denied sacraments because of special needs. We're all God's children.

The procedure involves parents registering their child for CRE, the same as for any child. Under "grade" on the registration form, parents need to indicate "special education". Then parents will be contacted about beginning the program for their child and the child's abilities and limitations will be discussed. We will also discuss for which sacraments the child will be prepared.
