A
lector is a parishioner who proclaims
the word of God. This ministry involves
studying, preparing and gaining an understanding
of God's word that can be transferred
to the assembly in a clear and understandable
manner.
Lectors are regularly scheduled for a particular Mass and are responsible for proclaiming readings from the Old and New Testament and for announcer duties including the greeting, Prayers of the Faithful, and announcements..
Confirmed Catholics of all ages are welcome to participate in this ministry. A training session with our Lector Coordinator, either in a group setting or individually, is required.
