Lorraine Dougherty is the Business Manager for Our Lady of the Snows Parish. Her ministry involves all the business and financial aspects of the parish. She is the supervisor of a wonderful support staff that works diligently to maintain the parish facilities and to complete all the necessary duties of the parish office.

Lorraine is originally from the Southern California area. Born in Los Angeles, she attended Catholic elementary school, public secondary school and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Pepperdine University.

For 14 years she worked in administration and accounting for the Southern California Edison Company and for 4 years was the Administrative Services Manager for the company's Shop Services and Instrumentation Department. After moving from Southern California to Incline Village, NV 1988 she started her own bookkeeping business. Some of her clients included the North Lake Tahoe Fire Department, South Tahoe Public Utility District and a small telecommunications company. After retiring her business she accepted the position of Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Parish where she served for ten years. She is a certified catechist and facilitator for the Echoes of Faith program.

She and her family moved to Reno in April 2004 and are happy to be parishioners at Our Lady of the Snows. She enjoys watching her daughter Jessica play soccer, playing and watching sports with her husband Bob, singing, jogging and cooking.

As you can see, it takes a great deal of employee dedication and hard work involved in business ministry of our parish. Volunteer opportunities: collection counters, volunteer at the front desk to answer telephones, and maintenance assistance.
