Greetings
Good and Holy People of Our Lady of the
Snows! I come to Reno with a humble soul,
joyful heart, and proudly with my husband
Vern, of 31 years. We chose Reno just
so we could be close to my parents, Ray
and Mary Pomada.
We
most recently arrived from a short stay
in the Sacramento area on our route from
Rochester, New York. While in the Rochester
area 1997-2006, I worked in two parishes
as a formation director in the areas of
Adult, Family, Liturgical Catechesis with
a few other formation ministries here
and there. Prior to Rochester we were
content in the Northwest—early on in the
Hood River Valley, then on to Portland
and then the Vancouver area—Vancouver,
USA.
One
of my first priorities as “Coordinator
of Liturgy,” will be to meet as many
of you as possible—name tags would
be great but not practical—so, how
about if you step forward each time you
see me, give me your name, maybe introduce
your family members or friends.
I would love for each of you to
share with me the ministries you are currently
supporting with your time.
(Remember, attending a weekly liturgy
and participating by responding with heartfelt
voice, spoken and sung is a valued ministry…..So.,
what mass do you regularly attend and
where do you sit?) It is my hope to meet with all liturgical
committees and sub committees.
I
ask that you keep Vern and I in your prayers
and know that we will remember you in
our daily prayers.
May God continue to bless all of
us abundantly and the ministerial work
of our baptisms.
